4x4 or AWD

All the traction you need to sand or snow, delivered by Mercedes’ all wheel drive system and electronic slip protection. This is a great option for getting to the most remote camp sites possible, or getting the kids to school on a snowy morning.

Espar D2 Cabin Heater

The Espar D2 uses the vehicle’s diesel fuel tank to warm the cabin while the engine is off, keeping you cozy while sleeping in sub-freezing temperatures.

Upgraded Cabin Insulation

We insulate every inch of the cabin walls and ceiling with 3M Thinsulate insulation to keep the cabin warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Seats 5

The safety of those cherubs in the back is our top priority. That’s why we stick with the Mercedes factory bench seat, mounted into factory mounting points.

Two King(ish) Bunk Beds

Two 68” x 73” aluminum bunk beds with 3” memory foam mattresses are a great place to lay your head after a long day of catching fish (or just fishing).

Diesel V6

Mercedes’ 3.0L V6 Diesel has a ton of power, but still gets us about 20MPG on the highway. It’s our favorite engine configuration.

350W, 100Ah Solar System

Don’t be the generator guy. Our electrical system is designed to provide continuous energy for a cooler, lights, fan, and USB ports. In years of camping with this setup, we’ve never had our battery go dead. We also have run the wiring necessary for an inverter and a cabin heater.

ARB Electric Cooler

Having a combination cooler / freezer that doesn’t need ice is a game changer. There is nothing better after a few long days of hiking in the mountains than coming back to a pint of cold Ben & Jerry’s in your van. The 75L ARB Cooler / Freezer has enough space to store food for our family for several days.

Heated Shower

While we think having a shower and sink inside the van is overkill, having a spray nozzle in the back of the van to wash sand off of your kids’ feet or a dirty mountain bike is pretty great. Add the fact that a propane tankless hot water heater can get that shower to 120 degrees, and you have a recipe for a delightful post-surf shower.
